Police were tight lipped on Friday morning about what had transpired on Thursday evening after swarming a house at Booie where it was believed shots had been fired at another individual earlier that day.
Police surrounded the South Burnett property at Schellbachs Road late in the afternoon, after blocking the road and laying down stingers about 3.30pm.
The alarm was first raised after a person was allegedly shot at on the property about 2pm on Thursday.
Police could not confirm the victim was in a delivery vehicle.
A Police Media spokeswoman said about 5pm police were negotiating with a man inside the house
Specialist negotiators were reportedly called in and drivers were advised to avoid the area.
Nearby residents commented on social media on Thursday night that they were “fine” but “lots of police cars going past and... heard gunshots at lunch time and then sirens”.
A search of RP Data reveals there are just seven properties on Schellbachs Road at Booie, and another five properties listed as being on the road but in Kingaroy.
