The adult son of slain Comanchero bikie boss Mahmoud “Mick” Hawi has been charged over allegations he subjected a young woman to “two years of sustained abuse”.

Adam Hawi, 20, was charged with 17 domestic violence offences - including assault occasioning actual bodily harm and stalking with intent to cause fear - after police claim the woman went to them alleging she had been a victim of abuse.

Specialist officers from the Central Metropolitan Domestic Violence High Risk Offender Team and detectives from St George Police found Hawi junior at a hotel in the city’s south on October 5, and arrested him over the allegations.

A spokesperson for NSW Police said the arrest was the result of an investigation into sustained domestic violence spanning several years.

“He was charged with 17 domestic violence offences including assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault, stalk/intimidate intend to cause fear of physical harm (domestic), malicious damage (DV). He was refused bail,” a NSW Police spokesman said in a statement.

Hawi junior appeared in Sutherland Local Court yesterday where he was granted strict bail. He must live at a court ordered address and not contact the alleged victim.

The Daily Telegraph understands the charges came about after the alleged victim confided in a relative, who then encouraged her to go to police where she detailed allegations of domestic abuse dating back to 2022.

An interim apprehended violence order has also been taken out to prevent Hawi junior from contacting the woman or going near her home or place of work. The order will be heard in the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.

Hawi junior, the eldest of two children, was just 14 when his 37-year-old father was famously killed in execution-style as he walked out of Fitness First at Rockdale, in February 2018.

Accused gunman Yusuf Nazlioglu, 39, and accused getaway car driver Jamal Eljaidi, 32, were both found not guilty of the murder.

At the time of his death, the former Comanchero boss had only been out of jail for three years after serving time for the manslaughter of Hells Angels bikie associate Anthony Zervas, who was bashed with a metal bollard during a brawl at Sydney Airport in 2009.

Hawi was initially convicted of Zervas’ murder and sentenced to 28 years in prison, but the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal overturned his conviction. He then pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was released on parole in 2015.

By the time Hawi was out, Mark Buddle had established himself as the new boss of the bikie gang.
