Disturbing twist in case of the Sydney beautician stalked by man she met on holidays

‘I fear for my life’: Julia's cyber stalking nightmare

As police work to secure a restraining order to protect a woman being bombarded with calls, messages and emails, her relentless stalker is continuing his harassment – this time sending her two boxes of roses and declaring his love.

One week after the 31-year-old went public with her fears about being the next murder victim at the hands of a relentless stalker who was threatening her and hurling abuse, the man has changed his tack.

“I would say he is trying to manipulate me. At first I thought speaking up would make him more crazy but each day is different and I am always on edge,” Julia said.

NSW Police made contact with the woman the day her story was published in The Saturday Telegraph, and organised a meeting to discuss her options.

In the following days detectives told her they were applying for an apprehended violence order through the courts.

“I also told them I want to be alerted if he tries to enter the country,” she said.

“On Friday police told me the court matter was adjourned for a secondary mention, with the next date set for toward the end of the month.”

In the meantime Julia, who asked that her surname not be revealed, continues to be bombarded by messages, emails and now flowers.

Julia met the man, who is Palestinian from a strict Muslim family, in India on a holiday last September.

She left three weeks later and returned to Australia.

“He keeps sending me daily offensive messages and keeps trying to expose me and share my private pictures which he possessed illegally by hacking into my phone somehow,” Julia said.

“He knows where I live. I’m scared that one day he will enter Australia and come to hurt me.”

Julia has hundreds if not thousands of screenshots of messages and voice recordings, but said neither NSW Police or the AFP would initially help her. “I’m desperate to find anyone who is willing to help me,” she said.
