THE ageing inter-park train shuttle at Territory Wildlife Park could be replaced by electric scooters, the department has revealed.
It comes as the Parks Department advises that social media speculation about the shutdown of the shuttle service is untrue.

A spokeswoman said there had been a number of concerns that the train had ceased but it was very much still operational.
“More than 60,000 people visit the Territory Wildlife Park annually and we are always looking at ways to improve the experiences of our visitors, including transport around the park,” she said.
“There has been no decision to cease the trains at the Territory Wildlife Park.”
The spokeswoman said the trains, while much loved, were ageing and needed to be replaced at some stage.
“A few ideas we are investigating are a self-drive option, e-bikes and scooters and golf buggies,” she said.
