AN NT police officer has fronted court after an alleged aggravated assault involving a female member of the public while he was off duty.
Nitin Verma, 35, appeared in the Alice Springs Local Court on Wednesday morning after being charged with aggravated assault and unlawful disclosure of information.
Verma has been suspended from duty and the matter is under investigation by the Professional Standards Command.
His bail will continue until he next appears in court on June 8.
