A CHAMPION team of U12s girls from the Wanderers Football Club have won their first game of the year in the mixed Division 3 competition.

The 13-point win against Palmerston on Friday evening was six weeks in the making, with coach Liam Musgrave confident his girls would break through sooner rather than later.

“They really excel at the ‘for each other’ component of Aussie rules. Their tackling and commitment is absolutely ferocious,” he said.
