THE NT News 120 Most Powerful Territorians list has kicked off with a bang for 2020 and it’s already starting to ruffle feathers.

Numbers 120 to 101 were revealed exclusively right here on ntnews.com.au yesterday, with arguably the NT’s most influential piece of infrastructure – the Cavenagh Street shade structure – rounding out the list at No. 120.

It replaced Kenneth Fleming QC who had a fall from grace after making No. 1 in his first appearance on the list in 2018.

Today, we reveal numbers 100-81 below. There are some new faces who are making waves in the Territory and others who have taken a tumble from their previous rankings.

Tracey Hayes, who put up a tough fight against Chief Minister Michael Gunner for the seat of Fannie Bay at this year’s general election, has taken a leap back from her No. 4 spot in last year’s list.

The former No. 1 Most Powerful has had a challenging year and now eyes are trained on her next move.

A new face on the list is Education Department chief executive Karen Weston, who came to the Territory amid the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and hit the ground running.

She replaced retiring chief executive Vicki Baylis.

Ms Weston has shared big aspirations for improving the Territory’s attendance rates, particularly in remote communities.

No doubt Territorians will be keeping a close eye on the kind and ambitious chief executive.

Don’t forget to come back to ntnews.com.au tomorrow for numbers 80 to 61.

The List will count down to Numbers 1 & 2 who will be revealed on Friday, December 18.
