Victorian Liberal Party State President Michael Kroger joined Miranda Live as unrest in the federal branch of his party gained momentum.

Mr Kroger said the talk surrounding a possible challenge to Malcolm Turnbull’s leadership wasn’t serious, “We expect Malcolm to remain as leader and the speculation to go away”.

MORE MIRANDA DEVINE:

WHY IS SILICON VALLEY SILENCING JOHN HOWARD?

“You can always find fault with the incumbent … we all know that in politics there are people that compete and don’t get on, but that’s politics”, he said.

Mr Kroger also dismissed the drama in Canberra as a small problem and explained the recent merry-go-round of Prime Ministers as a result of an impatient world.

“The truth is, this is a first world problem. The level of impatience in first world countries is at an all time high and we think the biggest problem most people have is they don’t have fast broadband.

“Please, serious problems are when people don’t have food to eat”, he told Miranda Live host Miranda Devine.

“In the modern society we are in a disposable age where people’s patience is exhausted very, very quickly,” he said.

“Give me a real problem and let’s deal with that.”
