She successfully predicted the winner of last year’s state election, now Eva The Democracy Sausage Dog is back.

The loveable dachshund yesterday hit the streets of Sturt to help pick the winner in this month’s federal poll.

We asked Eva to select a sausage from bowls with pictures of Liberal candidate James Stevens and his Labor foe Cressida O’Hanlon.

Eva’s selection mirrored the finding of this week’s The Advertiser/YouGov Galaxy poll, which suggested Mr Stevens would take over from the retiring Christopher Pyne.

Genevieve Madigan Manuel, 24, works in the Sturt area and said she would like to see more support for the local retail sector.

“Being a retail area, having the (Burnside) Village ... it would be good to have some support for those sorts of retail areas, a bit of money put into them to support some economic growth,” she said.
