A man who sustained serious head injuries after falling from the second storey of a Burleigh hotspot on Australia Day is still in hospital.
Justin Lane general manager John Hall claimed the man in his 20s climbed out of the window before he fell.
He said Justin Lane had no concerns about the safety of the venue.
“The safety of our patrons is always at the forefront of our minds,” Mr Hall said.
He said he hoped the man was OK.
A spokesman for Gold Coast University Hospital said the man was in a stable condition, but remained in their care on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called after reports the patron fell 4m from a balcony at Justin Lane on the Gold Coast Highway on Sunday around 9.30pm.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the incident was being treated as misadventure by police, and would not be subject to further police investigation.
