Veny Amelia, widow of Bra Boy Cade Dallas, tells court she is ‘not greedy like his mother’ Kerrie, but can’t prove other son’s parentage

THE widow of Bra Boy Cade Dallas says she is “not a greedy person like” her mother-in-law, but admits she cannot prove the parentage of her other son - who she claims was also fathered by the late surf gangster.

THE widow of Bra Boy Cade Dallas says she is “not a greedy person like” her mother-in-law, but admits she cannot prove the parentage of her other son.

In the $30 million soap opera’s latest twist, the Supreme Court has heard Veny Amelia has another son who, she claims, was also fathered by the late surf gangster.

Under cross-examination, Ms Amelia conceded she told Australian authorities that Dallas was the boy’s father.

She insisted it “might be true” — even though she was also having sex with another man around the time the child was conceived.

Ms Amelia said the situation was “insignificant” as she had not involved that boy in the case she filed on behalf of her eldest son, Keanu, against Dallas’ mother Kerrie.

“I’m not a greedy person like Kerrie ... it’s not about the money, I’m not here for money,” she said.

“I would like to claim my son’s right because Keanu is, for certain, the son of myself and Cade Dallas.”

Ms Amelia and Keanu are suing over Cade’s clothing empire, “Somewhere”, claiming Mrs Dallas is running it to benefit herself instead of providing for her grandchild’s needs.

She claims Mrs Dallas ceased providing for Keanu, in contravention to Cade’s wishes, once they moved to Adelaide.

Mrs Dallas says Ms Amelia has subjected her to years of baseless and “scandalous” accusations.

She has asserted Indonesian law precludes Keanu from inheriting anything until he is an adult.

In court, counsel for Mrs Dallas questioned Ms Amelia about her sexual relationships with Cade and the other man, and when she realised she was pregnant.

She said she saw Cade “approximately once a week” prior to his death, adding they did not always have sex when they met.

Ms Amelia said she had met the other man online, and confirmed she was “having a relationship” with him at the same time as Cade.

Previously, she has told the court Cade had other girlfriends during their marriage.

Simon Ower, for Mrs Dallas, suggested Ms Amelia moved from Bali to Adelaide so her second child would be born in Australia, granting them citizenship.

Ms Amelia denied the assertion, saying she had not undertaken testing to confirm the boy’s parentage because her time had been consumed by the estate dispute.

“I came here because Kerrie made it difficult when it comes to money, because Cade wasn’t there (any longer) and for Keanu, for his education and future,” she replied.

“It’s insignificant to me, to my sons, whether we are Australian citizens or Indonesian citizens ... I’ve not changed my nationality.”

The trial continues.
