A woman has been hospitalised after being attacked outside an entertainment venue in Breakwater overnight.

A woman is in hospital after being attacked outside a Breakwater entertainment venue overnight.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said police believe the woman was assaulted by a man on Fellmongers Road around 11.15pm Tuesday.
“She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the man fled the scene,” the spokeswoman said.
“Despite a thorough search of the area the man was not located.”
It is believed that two are known to each other.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, has CCTV, dashcam footage or any other information that could assist police should contact Crime Stoppers.
