Man in stable condition after Torquay beach car park brawl
A man in his 20s remains in hospital after a serious assault at a Torquay beachside car park, as police issue a plea for witnesses to come forward.

A man is in a stable condition following a Torquay brawl, with police now pleading for more information.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman confirmed paramedics were called to the Surf Beach Drive carpark at 4:30pm on Tuesday, after reports of a “serious” assault.
“A man in his 20s is in a stable condition with upper body injuries,” she said.
Victoria Police confirmed the victim was a 24-year-old man from Ballarat who had been visiting Torquay for the long weekend.
A spokeswoman said two groups were believed to be arguing when a fight erupted at the carpark.
“Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident,” she said.
“There are no charges laid at this stage.”

The man was taken to the Geelong University Hospital for further assessment.
