Greater Geelong has recorded 14 new Covid cases, with Barwon Health reporting a slight increase in testing numbers at its sites on Monday.

Greater Geelong has recorded 14 new Covid cases, with Barwon Health reporting a slight increase in testing numbers at its sites on Monday.

Health department data published Tuesday showed the municipality had 291 active cases.

Three new cases were reported for the Surf Coast.

Barwon South West public health unit director Prof Eugene Athan said as of 9am Tuesday there were 13 patients in Geelong hospital with Covid, 10 of whom were in ICU.

The state’s downward trend of new Covid-19 cases continued.

Victoria reported 797 new infections and eight deaths on Tuesday.
