Monster truck fans are furious after tickets to an anticipated Geelong event were cancelled without warning or communication from organisers.

The Daredevil Rally 2025 was meant to be held at the Geelng Showgrounds on March 15 but was scrapped on the eve of the event, infuriating ticket holders.

Organisers have since taken the website offline and have not returned calls, emails or messages from many fans desperately trying to get refunds.

It has left families like Geelong’s Adam Gate, 39, hundreds of dollars out of pocket more than three weeks after the failed show.

The Corio father said he only learned of the cancellation on the morning of event, devastating his two children.

“It’s been pretty frustrating and annoying the way it has all played out,” he said.

“There has been radio silence from the organisers.

“We are not the only ones.”

At least six people from the Daredevil Rally 2025 Facebook page have posted claiming to have been left in the lurch by the Geelong event.

Children’s tickets were sold from $39 per person.

The daredevilrally.com.au website link was broken as of Tuesday evening.

The event promised the “largest” and “most extreme variety show in Australia” with a “huge line up of extreme circus acts, motorsport performances and daredevil stunts.”

The road show was expected to land Armidale in New South Wales on April 26.

The Geelong Advertiser tried to contact the promoter but did not hear back.

Mr Gate, who paid $170 for his tickets, said he contacted organisers immediately following the cancellation “but they’ve gone into ghost mode.”

A Facebook page run by the administrator has since been deleted.

“We would want to get our money back but it’s not looking good,” he said.

“We just don’t want them to get away with it, it’s not right.”

Some punters said they contacted the organisers and were told they would be refunded within 5-10 business days.

“Haven’t received an email about rescheduling or refund,” Breanna Carson said.

“Have messaged multiple times with no answer.

“Biggest scam.”

It’s understood many ticket holders who attended the Mount Gambier event, on March 8, have demanded a refund unhappy with the quality of the event.
