Norlane man in hospital after suffering stab wound

A man is in hospital after suffering a stab wound on the Princes Highway on Friday.

A man is in hospital after he was allegedly stabbed in Norlane on Friday.

It’s understood paramedics were called to an address on the Princes Highway about 9.45am with the victim taken to Geelong Hospital.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman confirmed a man had sustained an upper body injury and was in a stable condition.

Detectives from Geelong’s criminal investigation unit are probing the attack.

It’s believed he suffered one stab wound and is known to the alleged offender.

No arrests have been made.

It comes weeks after a brutal alleged stabbing in East Geelong that left a 25-year-old man fighting for life.

The Armstrong Creek victim was left bleeding on Verner St after being approached by a car and attacked by its occupants on March 27.

He suffered multiple stab wounds and was left for dead by the still unknown offenders before paramedics arrived.

He was taken to the Alfred Hospital in a critical condition before recovering.

The alleged attack occurred near the Garden St bus stop.
