A Breakwater woman who kept a notebook detailing her involvement with drug trafficking had numerous drugs in her house, including cocaine and powerful hallucinogens, the Geelong Magistrates Court heard on Wednesday.

A court summary revealed Alyissa Mitchell, 30, was previously on bail for drug trafficking charges when police searched her home in March this year.

Police prosecutor Senior Constable David Vanderpol said one month earlier in February, police pulled her vehicle over and discovered hundreds of tablets of Xanax.

Mitchell pleaded guilty in court to a number of charges which included trafficking meth, committing indictable offences on bail, possession of drugs, possession of drug of dependence and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Police executed a search warrant at her home in Breakwater on March 30 this year and located drugs around the house.

Constable Vanderpol said during the search police found LSD tablets, cocaine, methamphetamine, cannabis, a syringe with clear liquid, ketamine and a notebook with “written notes and connotations clearly indicating the accused involvement in trafficking”.

Police intercepted Mitchell February 6, 2023.

The court heard one of the passenger’s in the car was banned from possessing a gun.

When police searched the car they found seven clear capsules containing 50 Xanax tablets per capsule, one black pouch containing around 100 Xanax tablets, nine foil bags containing 50 Xanax per bag, and a resealable bag containing 25 half Xanax tablets.

The court heard police also found a golf stick containing a razor blade handle attached to the end, one clear resealable bag containing meth and another bag of meth hidden near Mitchell’s genitals.

Magistrate John Bentley sentenced Mitchell to a community corrections order for 18 months and told her she needed to stay away from Geelong and needed urgent help.

“Clearly you have old associates here you need to avoid,” Mr Bentley said.

Mr Bentley said ordinarily Mitchell should be in jail, however he was willing to give her another chance as long as she engaged with the order and did not use drugs.

“She needs urgent help, I don’t want her to fail...you can’t afford to fail this order,” Mr Bentley said.

Mitchell will next appear in court for monitoring on December 6.
