It’s time to get egg-cited, Territorians - one of Darwin’s most cracking Easter egg hunts is back for another year.
From 9am Saturday, a full program of free, family friendly events will be hosted at the Darwin Waterfront to celebrate the Easter weekend.
It all kicks off with a free ‘Easter Eggstravaganza’ with two Easter egg hunt sessions and plenty of entertainment, including jumping castles, children’s entertainment, petting zoos and even an appearance from the Easter bunny.
But fear not if you can’t get down to the first egg hunting session of the day, there will be an afternoon egg hunt scheduled at 5pm.
And if you can’t get down on Saturday, there will be more opportunities on Sunday and Monday for an easy afternoon of jumping castles and an Easter movie under the stars.
Darwin Waterfront chair Patrick Bellot said Easter was a key event in the Waterfront’s calendar and he was looking forward to the weekend.
“Easter is always a fantastic time at the Waterfront, our Easter Eggstravaganza is the perfect way to spend the long weekend,” he said.
“Cool off in the Wave Lagoon, grab takeaway from a local venue and enjoy the stunning Waterfront precinct and our program of free, family friendly events.”
