CELEBRATING 25 years of giving, the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation hosted an anniversary ball with the region’s most influential names.
Gina Hogan, CEO of the foundation, was joined by 340 glammed guests who sold out the event at the Pullman Cairns International on Saturday.
“It was so wonderful, it was better than I could’ve even imagined,” she said
The night was accompanied by raffles and auctions with prizes and items donated by sponsors such as Coral Expeditions and Integrated Medical Services.
“We already raised over $100,000 and we’re still tallying,” Ms Hogan said.
Ms Hogan said there was still a lot of work to be done, with the foundation planning its next project.
“(The anniversary) is a sense of real pride in the community and what we’ll achieve and continue to do,” she said.
“We cover Tully to the Torres Strait and want to fundraise for all those areas.”
