Four men are facing more than 20 charges after a double police raid allegedly uncovered a number of weird illegal items.

POLICE have charged four men over more than 20 offences after a double raid allegedly uncovered a number of weird illegal items.

Innisfail police executed a search warrant at a Cardier Cl home in Wangan on Saturday May 22 and allegedly found two men at the home along with methylamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Both Cassowary Coast men were charged with a number of offences.

A 39-year-old Camp Creek man, Adam Thoroughgood, was slapped with 11 charges, including multiple drug related offences consisting of possessing dangerous drugs and possessing anything used in the commission of crime defined in part 2 along with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Mr Thoroughgood did not apply for bail at Innisfail Magistrates Court on Monday and is due appear again on July 5 via video link.

The second man, a 30-year-old Sundown man was given a drug diversion for the possession of a dangerous drug and possessing a drug utensil.

Based on information received, officers executed a second search warrant at a Camp Creek Road address about 5.30pm the same day where it will be alleged officers located LSD, cannabis, methylamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, ammunition, a large quantity of cash and two crocodile heads.

A 50-year-old Nanum man, David Debrincat was charged with 10 offences including restriction on keeping or using taken protected animal class 3 offence, possession of tainted property and possession of dangerous drugs.

Mr Debrincat applied for bail, however it was opposed by police prosecutor sergeant Sean O’Shea who said the defendant was already on bail for similar offences.

“It would be my submission there are no bail conditions that could be put in place to significantly reduce the risk of further offending,” Sgt O’Shea said.

Mr Debrincat’s lawyer Michael Cooper said his client was applying for bail because he had solid grounds for defence and would “vigorously defend the charges.”

“I’m instructed that a co-accused admitted to the police that drugs belonged to him,” Mr Cooper said.

Mr Debrincat was denied bail and scheduled to return to Innisfail Magistrates Court on June 28 via video link.

A 40-year-old Kurrimine Beach man was charged with four drug related offences and one count of possession of tainted property and breaching bail conditions.
