Footage has captured the moment a truck slammed into a Brisbane bridge, causing traffic chaos in Queensland.
Bus routes returned to schedule and a major thoroughfare reopened four hours after the truck became stuck under the rail bridge.
Morning commuters in Brisbane were told to make other plans after the Lindsay Transport vehicle became stuck under the 3.6m high bridge on Oxley Road at Corinda shortly before 6am on Tuesday.
Authorities had warned it could take “six hours” to free the truck.
The vision shows the truck slamming into the bridge before tilting to the right and spilling debris all over the road.
The truck is seen with its hazard lights on as damaged parts of the bridge hang across the truck.
All lanes were cleared and reopened by 10am, with TransLink bus routes 104 and 106 back on schedule before lunchtime.
Oxley Road had been closed in both directions at the rail bridge – at Martindale St northbound and Jerrold St southbound.

The blockage resulted in delays of up to 30 minutes on some TransLink bus services, while the rail services were unaffected.
Minister for Transport and Main Roads Mark Bailey had told motorists who were planning on using the route to “make other plans”.
“A huge mess there at the moment and may take up to six hours to clear,” he said.
