Receptionist crushed by falling car inside Volkswagen dealership

Dramatic security footage has emerged showing a car plunging from the second floor of a dealership onto a receptionist working below.

The horrible scene unfolded inside a Volkswagen showroom in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on September 27 (local time), when an unlicensed contractor lost control of the car, CNN Brazil reported.

Heart-sinking video showed the white vehicle drop more than six metres, landing on its roof on top a teenage woman working behind a reception desk.

She had only a split second to react before being crushed beneath the weight of the vehicle.

A witness was shown running over shortly after impact, with the desk’s circular walls crumpling and falling to the side.

The 19-year-old sustained multiple fractures to her body and was flown to hospital via helicopter, while the 29-year-old valet was taken to hospital with a fractured leg.

The young man, who was contracted to clean cars at the showroom, had returned from a car wash and lost control as he was trying to park.

A 20-year-old receptionist was also hurt, but fortunately only received minor injuries.

Police are reportedly investigating the incident, with the driver facing charges of causing physical injuries while driving unlicensed or disqualified.

The dealership released a statement following the incident saying it “regrets” what happened, and was “giving all the necessary support to the victims”.

“The causes of the accident are being investigated,” it said.
