A three-storey childcare centre will be built in the Tonsley Innovation District, under plans lodged with the State Government’s development panel
The $3.3 million centre – to be built on Mab Circuit, Tonsley – would have a capacity of 110 children from the ages of six months to six years.
The developer MAB Park Pty Ltd anticipates between 22 and 24 staff would work at the centre at any one time, depending on the number of children on site.
The ground floor plans comprise of a foyer and storage space.
Children would be cared for across levels one and two which include a playing with food zone, music and culture room and sleep room.
Outdoor play spaces with fruit trees, a bike track, climbing rocks and water play areas are located on the upper two floors.
The currently vacant site is located in the Tonsley Innovation District beside vacant sites planned to host a multi-level carpark, specialist medical centre and biomedical light industry office building.
The Tonsley Innovation District is located on the former Mitsubishi site.
