New, ‘good-different’ supermarket graces Glenelg with unique products at sale prices

The German supermarket giant is taking over – opening its third store in 2021, and 41st location in South Australia. See when the store opens.

After months of road closures and construction on Glenelg’s busy Anzac Highway roundabout, the much anticipated Aldi supermarket has announced its opening date.

Aldi Glenelg is the 41st store to be established in South Australia adding to its extensive list of store locations across the state.

Aldi abide by their motto of being ‘good-different’ offering a unique supermarket experience according to Viktor Jakupec, Regional Managing Director of South Australia, Aldi Australia.

“We offer a supermarket experience like no other,” he said.

“It’s our differences such as having never offered single-use plastic bags, utilising a coin deposit system for our trolleys and our tight product range that allow us to bring unbeatable value to our customers every day.”
The company promises to bring with it low prices on groceries including fresh fruit, vegetables, bread delivered daily and the ever-popular ‘Special Buys.’
To celebrate the new store opening on Wednesday 15 September, the Glenelg supermarket will be offer exclusive items to its customers that won’t be offered at any other store location.
Aldi Glenelg has established a team of 15-20 part time and full time employees who will assist in growing their already projected $30bn into the economy.

Beyond their economic contributions, Aldi’s philanthropic efforts have seen 10 million meals and 34,000kg of non-food products donated to charity partners.
The company has also vowed to power its distributions centres by renewable energies only by the end of 2021.

Aldi Glenelg opens from 8.30am on Wednesday 15 September at 601 Anzac Highway, Glenelg North.
