Karma and Crow takes out title for best brunch in the Adelaide’s West

A much-loved Richmond eatery has taken out the title of best brunch in Adelaide’s western suburbs. See the winner here.

An in demand Richmond cafe and wine bar has been crowned the top spot for brunch in the western suburbs.

Karma and Crow was voted the top place to grab brunch in our latest Delicious Local poll, run in partnership with celebrity chef Matt Preston.

The cafe received more than 20 per cent of the total votes, with Froot Cafe at Semaphore, Loveon Cafe at Mile End, 94west at Findon and Malobo at Henley Beach rounding out the top five for the west.

Karma and Crow manager Paris Palazzo said brunch was a critical part of their trade.

“It’s massive for the business, on the weekends there can be a 20 minute wait on a table (from customers coming in for brunch),” she said.

And with food offerings like Karma and Crow’s it’s easy to understand why.

Ms Palazzo said some of the most popular dishes were a wasabi buttermilk chicken burger, mint peas on rye with chevre, pomegranate seeds, pickled ginger, burnt lemon and haloumi and vegan mushroom dumplings.

“We do a lot of vegan, gluten free and vegetarian alternatives,” she said.

The focus is also on local produce, with the wine bar stocking many drops from the McLaren Vale and Barossa regions.

Ms Palazzo said a menu change is underway at the moment, with the cafe changing up its offering seasonally, to keep the options fresh and exciting for customers.

She said it was great to take out the win for the best brunch in the west, with customers coming far and wide for their food and coffee.

Karma and Crow has been running for four years and opens seven days a week, even on public holidays.
