They are the florists who need no introduction, with the name Tynte Flowers synonymous with most South Australians.
For more than 30 years, their timeless bouquets and personalised vases have graced thousands of homes and the business shows now signs of slowing down.
Now Tynte Flowers has been crowned the best florist in the state as a part of the Messenger’s recent ‘best of’ poll, beating out 60 other South Australian businesses that were nominated.
Floral designer Dani Frolich said to be named the state’s best, even after all these years, was something that will not be lost among staff.
“It’s just a really fun place to work,” she said.
“I think that is why we are who we are because our love and our passion can be felt throughout all of our bouquets and gifts. The hard work is paying off.”
Ms Frolich said although flowers would always be Tynte’s first love, their wide range of giftware is not to be overlooked.
“Our trademark is being able to buy flowers in a vase and we are very lucky to be able to stock Dinosaur Designs, which we love … we have an amazing range of candles as well as gift cards,” she said.
“We’ve kept it simple for people to buy whatever they made need for that occasion.”
Now less than a fortnight away from Valentine’s Day, the Tynte Flowers team are busy preparing and anticipating orders for what is often one of their busiest times of the year.
“There is always a red rose buyer which is a lovely and more traditional customer, you can feel the romance around them,” Ms Frolich said.
“It’s always fun in the shop and the men are hilarious, we always have one who will come in on the day asking for 10 dozen roses and every year we seem to make it work.”
And if a big bouquet of red roses just isn’t your style, the Tynte Flowers team will be there help you style what is right for you.
“For some it can be a simple bouquet of sunflowers, it doesn’t have to be huge.
“We really encourage people to come into the store and experience it from beginning to end, we love people, we love chatting with people and it just gives the bunch just that extra bit of love because the customer has hand-picked it from start to finish.
“We’re so lucky to have a wide range seasonal flowers, those are the ones you want to buy.
“You can come into us on the day and always walk out with something beautiful.”
