An exciting pre-season has continued through the past week with multiple big local names and rising stars joining new clubs. See every local player move right here.

Welcome to ‘New Recruits’ – a weekly wrap of all the major player moves in local SA footy this pre-season.

Each week leading into the 2023 campaign The Messenger will wrap up the big movements across the state, including all country and suburban competitions.

We have seen more big moves recently, with big local names joining new clubs.

Here are the movements from the past week.

ADELAIDE FOOTY LEAGUE

Barialai Alizai (Para Hills to Kilburn)

Alizai has arrived at Kilburn after a solid debut season of senior footy with Para Hills.

The skilled midfielder/wing kicked seven goals and had two best player performances in division six last season.

He was also a standout junior at Para Hills, winning multiple medals on his way into the senior sides.

HILLS FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Kynan Dunn (Millicent to Onkaparinga Valley)

Young gun Kynan Dunn has signed with Onkaparinga Valley after a standout season with the Glenelg U18s and Millicent A Grade in the Western Border Football League.

A strong and athletic player who can cover ground well and compete in the air, Dunn tallied eight goals and eight best player mentions in his 19 appearances for Glenelg last season.

Jesse Bingos has joined BSR after time away from the club at Gumeracha in the Hills Football League.

Bingos has been a versatile and strong body who can impact the game in the contest or in key positions.

RIVER MURRAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Ben Kernahan (Mannum)

Max Wakefield (Kingston to Mannum)

WHYALLA FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Daniel Chapman (Olympic Dam to North Whyalla)

Joseph Chapman (South Whyalla to North Whyalla)

Brothers Daniel and Joseph Chapman have joined North Whyalla after successful stints at Olympic Dam and South Whyalla respectively.

Both bringing tireless work ethic and versatility around the ground, the Chapmans add to a series of pre-season signings for the club.

Daniel Chapman is fresh off of a strong season with Olympic Dam in the Far North Football League, winning a premiership and also an Anzac Medal.

YORKE PENINSULA FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Jack Dickeson (Broughton Mundoora to Ardrossan)

The Dickeson brothers will represent Ardrossan in the YPFL this season.

Thomas Dickeson headlines the move, the star leader and half-back dominating for Port Pirie last season.

He was named in the Spencer Gulf Football League team of the year.
