STURT Cricket Club's Megan Schutt says the Australian women's side will take inspiration from the men's team when it attempts to win back the Ashes from England this month.
Schutt was the sole South Australian named in the Ashes squad late last month ahead of the first Test at the WACA on January 10.
The fast bowler says she and the team's other quicks will adopt an aggressive approach similar to that used to great effect by Mitchell Johnson and the Aussie pacemen.
''I think Cricket Australia needed that (the men's Ashes win) and you could see the passion and fire in the players' eyes,'' Schutt said.
"That is going to transfer to the women's matches and hopefully we can get the whole of Australia behind us as well.
"Having the Test at the WACA, there will be a few bouncers that will be bowled from both sides."
Schutt was named in a 14- player Test squad and also made the Ashes one-day squad.
The women's Ashes are made up of one Test, three one-dayers and three Twenty20 matches.
Schutt has taken 13 wickets for the SA Southern Scorpions this season.
Fellow South Aussie Lauren Ebsary has also been named in the Shooting Stars team which is effectively an Australia A squad.
The squad will play England in a two-day match in Perth on January 6-7.
