Potential high draft picks and sons of guns are among the next generation of talented SA footballers to watch.
The 39-player squad for the 2022 SANFL Under-18 Talent Hub has been announced with the young guns to undertake a four-day camp this week.
Including 26 prospects eligible to be taken in next year’s AFL draft and 13 underage players, the group will be guided by SA under-18 coach Tony Bamford at Thebarton Oval.
South Adelaide’s six selections was the most of any SANFL club but the squad is evenly spread with Central District, Glenelg, North Adelaide, Norwood, West Adelaide and Woodville-West Torrens supplying five players while Sturt had three picked.
Bloods key forward Harry Lemmey and Eagles midfielder Adam D’Aloia headline the top talents in the squad.
Lemmey, who made his league debut for West this season, looms as one of the best tall players in the upcoming draft pool while D’Aloia impressed by taking out the best on ground medal in the SANFL under-18 grand final.
Adelaide Crows Next Generation prospects Isaac Keeler (North) and Max Michalanney (Norwood) are others to keep an eye on along with sons of SANFL guns Luca Slade (Sturt) and Mattaes Phillipou (Eagles).
Following this week’s camp, which features training along with individual and team building exercises, the squad will take part in another four-day event in January.
