7. CHRIS CURRAN

A star off of the backline for PAOC, Curran has been as impactful as ever for his side.
Arriving at the club last season, the former Glenelg captain is an elite intercept mark, can beat forwards in the air or at ground level and is the best distributor out of the back in division one.
Curran has been consistent throughout the season but will look to reach another level during finals.
The superstar defender has seven best player performances through 15 games so far.

4. JACK REDDEN
(Willunga, Great Southern Football League)
Finishing sixth in the West Coast Eagles’ AFL best and fairest count last season, Redden became one of the biggest signings in local SA footy history by joining Willunga heading into 2023.
A contested beast who accumulates the footy with ease in the midfield, explodes from congestion and distributes seamlessly by hand and foot, Redden would have a case for number one in our rankings if it wasn’t for a slightly inconsistent start to the season.
The AFL premiership player has hit his straps for finals, tallying seven best player performances and four goals in 14 games.
3. ABE DAVIS
(Glenunga, Adelaide Footy League)
A key addition for the Rams this season, Davis has had a monster year since arriving from Sturt and is a major reason for his new club’s minor premiership.

(Golden Grove, Adelaide Footy League)
The former Gold Coast and Norwood gun has been a star recruit for Golden Grove during another fantastic season for the club.
A strong and athletic player who can impact the game through the middle or play as a dangerous forward, Glenn’s ability to win aerial and ground contests and either deal to teammates by hand or foot or regularly hit the scoreboard makes him an elite player.

Can also tear any game apart up front as a strong target forward, often drawing the attention of multiple defenders and still taking contested marks to finish for goal or create for teammates.
Has 53 majors and six best player performances in 13 games so far and should take out the SFL Mail Medal.
