He can have an impact in the ruck and also play full forward or centre half-back.

Versatile mid/forwards Jordan Galpin and Tom Williams have returned to Penola after time with Hatherleigh and Kalangadoo respectively.

The two players have won multiple premierships with Penola and will look to bring consistency and quality as the Eagles push for the 2023 flag.

Galpin booted 19 goals and had 12 best player appearances for Hatherleigh last season while Williams played an important role in Kalangadoo’s premiership.

MID SOUTH EASTERN FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Rising young midfielder Callen McGrath has joined Mount Burr from Millicent in a strong signing for the club, while Tom Hutchesson joins Hatherleigh.

Hutchesson, formerly listed with GWS in the AFL, has been a dominant midfielder in SA Country footy for many years and is fresh off of a flag-winning year with Millicent in the Western Border Football League.

The gun midfielder and former Mail Medalist marks one of the biggest signings in recent Hatherleigh history.

NORTH EASTERN FOOTBALL LEAGUE

In the same week in which Reynella star and premiership player Cam McGree signed for Glenelg, Happy Valley superstars Justin Schurgott and Ben Geytenbeek have left the Southern Football League for the RSMU Hawks.

Both players will add to the club’s midfield and forwardline significantly.

Geytenbeek was a terror for SFL defences last season, the star forward booting 72 goals for Happy Valley to lead the competition.

RIVER MURRAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Christies Beach icon and 250-game player Aidan Coakley has left the club for Tailem Bend in one of the offseason’s most surprising moves so far.

The former South Adelaide player and gun onballer marks another big name to leave the Southern Football League and will undoubtedly make his mark on the RMFL in 2023.

Coakley just completed a brilliant year for the Saints, finishing runner-up in the SFL Mail Medal count.
