More SANFL players and local guns have joined new clubs in local SA footy through the past week. See all the latest player moves across the state.

Goals of the week round 18

Welcome to ‘New Recruits’ – a weekly wrap of all the major player moves in local SA footy this pre-season.

Each week leading into season 2023 The Messenger will wrap up the big movements across the state, including all country and suburban competitions.

We have seen more big moves recently, as former SANFL and big local names find new homes.

Here are the movements from the past week.

ADELAIDE FOOTY LEAGUE

Jacob Hooper (Tanunda to Flinders Uni)

Nick Dinham (Vic to Pembroke OS)

Shannon Schroeter (Brahma Lodge to Para Hills)

Tristan White (Edwardstown to Flinders Uni)

Flinders Uni has made two additions to its playing group during a quiet week for the Adelaide Footy League.

Outside player Jacob Hooper has arrived from Tanunda to seek more first team footy, while key defender Tristan White has joined the club from Edwardstown.

Nick Dinham has joined Pembroke Old Scholars in division three after spending time playing in country Victoria.

The former North Adelaide SANFL player adds versatility to the Kings as someone who can play at either end of the ground.

Harry Porter (Tailem Bend to Tanunda)

Rune Gilfoy has joined Tanunda after a strong tenure with Bridgewater Callington in the Hills Football League.

The big utility played in back-to-back premierships at Sturt in 2016 and 2017 and will join former Double Blues teammate and current Tanunda playing-coach Sam Colquhoun at the Magpies.

Harry Porter will also pull on the black and white next year after a successful season with Tailem Bend in the River Murray Football League, kicking three majors and tallying seven best player mentions in 18 games.

HILLS FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Brock Milde (Murrayville to Blackwood)

KOWREE NARACOORTE TATIARA FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Brent Kirby (Dudley United to Naracoorte)

Jacob Graetz (WA to Keith)

Former South Adelaide and Dudley United player Brent Kirby headlined the KNTFL moves this week, joining Naracoorte as a versatile player who can play up front, at the back or through the middle as a linebreaker.

Graetz will join close mate and SA Country gun Nathan Willson at the club.

PORT LINCOLN FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Michael Mazey (Christies Beach to Lincoln South)

RIVER MURRAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Isaac Hampel (Bute to Mannum)

SOUTHERN FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Jamie Grosser (Kangarilla to Noarlunga)

Tom Redden (Strathalbyn to Port Noarlunga)

Dual Strathalbyn best and fairest and former NEAFL player Tom Redden has joined Port Noarlunga after yet another standout season for the Roosters in the Great Southern Football League.

Redden was named among Strathalbyn’s best in nine of his 16 appearances through 2022.
