Christies Beach and Port Noarlunga will not only chase valuable premiership points in their Southern Football League clash this Saturday but are also set to pursue another prize – the sock.

The traditional battle between the fierce rivals which began in 1994 where a player from the winning team had his sock attached to a trophy, heads to Bice Oval.

There, the Saints will be looking to hang on to their hard-earned sock which they won in round five.

As part of the day’s activities, Christies Beach will celebrate its past players’ day and pay tribute to 1994 premiership coach Bob Boehm who died in November 2018.
