Adelaide Footy League Division Four’s top 40 players ranked

Division four of the Adelaide Footy League is packed with star local talent so we’ve ranked the competition’s top 40 players of 2024. See who made the cut.

Division four of the Adelaide Footy League has long been one of the most star-studded competition in the Ammos and season 2024 has been no exception.

Based on this season’s form and with the help of league insiders, we’ve ranked the division’s top 40 players of 2024.

Here is our list from 40 to 1.

40. JACK JARRETT

(Pooraka)

Consistently a standout for the Bulls this season.

Jarrett is one of the hardest workers for Pooraka who provides run and carry and distributes efficiently to teammates while also being a skilled threat up front.

Has 20 goals and 14 best player mentions in 16 games.

39. MICHAEL SMITH

A young gun for Morphettville Park, Smith has emerged as an up and coming gun in division four.

A tireless worker around the ground who racks up disposals, creates for others and can also hit the scoreboard.

Has eight best player mentions and nine goals in 16 games.

38. FRAZER GOODES

(Kenilworth)

A standout for Kenilworth so far this year, Goodes has performed in a number of roles.

Capable of hitting the scoreboard consistently and also doing damage with his accurate disposal.

Has 21 majors and three best player nods in 15 games.

37. TYRONE MILERA

(Gepps Cross)

Joining Gepps Cross from West Croydon, Milera has had a solid year with the Rams.

A hard worker in the contest, Milera provides a strong presence on the ball, laying a number of big tackles and distributing efficiently.

Has six best player mentions and nine goals in 12 games.

36. BRADLEY BESWICK

(Walkerville)

Joining Walkerville from Loxton North this year, Beswick has been consistent for the Panthers.

A threat around the ground who attacks the footy hard and has no issue finding players efficiently while under pressure.

Has 10 best player nods and five goals in 16 games.

35. MYLES CRUMP

(Kenilworth)

An imposing forward for Kenilworth, Crump has starred up front for his side.

A strong and hardworking player who takes big marks and can kick bags of goals with ease when in form.

Has 34 majors and four best player nods in 12 games.

34. NICK HYLAND

(Hectorville)

A consistent contributor for the Hounds, Hyland has been strong in 2024.

Hyland finds plenty of the footy, is clean by hand or foot and often creates a number of opportunities for his team.

Has six best player nods and seven goals in 16 games.

33. LIAM TOOHEY

(Morphettville Park)

Has has been a consistent player for the Roos yet again this season.

A hard worker through the contest who often fights through tags to win the ball for his side and distribute cleanly under pressure.

Has five best player nods and six goals in 11 games.

32. LUKE BROADBENT

(Hectorville)

A threat around the ground and up front for the Hounds, Broadbent has been a standout this year.

Broadbent is skilled by hand and foot, can boot impressive goals and often creates a number of opportunities for his side.

31. BRAYDEN LAUDER

(Kilburn)

Lauder has only played seven games so far this year but has been strong for the Chics when available.

A strong and fearless player who wins the footy for the Chics and is one of the best users for his side.

Has three best player nods and four goals in seven games.

30. ELIJAH MCCAPPIN

(Hectorville)

One of Hectorville’s top players this season, McCappin has remained consistent throughout 2024.

Wins his fair share of footy for the Hounds and always makes the right decisions before disposing with efficiency.

Has nine best player nods and six goals in 13 games.

29. JAMIE WEST

(Plympton)

A consistent and damaging player in division four, West has had a strong year with Plympton.

Wins plenty of the footy and can either create opportunities for teammates with his disposal or boot goals himself.

Has three best player performances and 17 goals in 14 games.

28. DANIEL MASON

A star for Gepps Cross, Mason has had another strong year with the Rams.

Mason is a strong contributor through the middle who wins plenty of his own footy and is one of his team’s most efficient by hand and foot while under pressure.

Has six best player nods and five goals in 16 games.

27. ISAIAH PLACE

(Kenilworth)

Place has impressed for Kenilworth in division four this season.

A skilled player who does damage around the ground with his ability to find the footy and distribute with class.

Has eight goals and four best player performances in 16 games.

26. ALEX BRACKSTONE

(Kilburn)

A strong defender who can do damage in other roles, Brackstone has been one of Kilburn’s best.

Reads the play well and wins plenty of the footy for the Chics while also being one of his side’s most reliable players by hand and foot.

Has five best player nods and three goals in his 15 games.

25. JACK WOOD

(Gepps Cross)

A standout player for Gepps Cross this season, Wood has been a consistent asset for the Rams.

Wood is a workhorse around the ground who does plenty of dirty work for his side and distributes efficiently to teammates.

Has three goals and four best player mentions in nine games.

24. CURTLY HAMPTON

(Plympton)

Hampton has been a key contributor for the division’s top side so far this year when available.

The former GWS and Crows player can play a number of roles and produces strong performances in the middle and up front with his ability to win the contested footy, take strong marks and kick goals.

Has two best player performances and six goals in seven games and would be higher with more appearances.

23. DOM BARILLA

(Kilburn)

A consistent and dangerous player for Kilburn, Barilla has been one of the top players for the Chics.

Barilla is a versatile player who can fill a number of roles for his side, whether it’s as a strong contributor in the contest or a creator ahead of the footy.

Has 15 goals and eight best player nods in 16 games.

22. DECLAN BAYLY

(Plympton)

One of the top defenders in the competition, Bayly has had a standout year for Plympton.

A strong and skilled player at the back who reads the play well and is efficient by hand and foot,

Can also move up front to hit the scoreboard, with five goals and five best player performances in 14 games.

21. ZAC PEAKE

(Plympton)

Currently the top goalkicker in the division, Peake has been a star for Plympton this season.

A smart and effective forward who executes his leads to perfection and takes a number of strong marks each week, Peake is one of the most reliable set-shots in the competition.

Has 65 goals and three best player nods in 15 games.

20. COREY SOLLY

(Kilburn)

One of Kilburn’s top players in 2023, Solly has put together another impressive campaign in 2024.

A damaging key forward, Solly is an athletic and strong forward who leads well, takes strong marks and can boot big goals from anywhere.

Has 50 goals and four best player nods in 16 games.

19. MATT BORG

(Pooraka)

A standout player for Pooraka in what has been a challenging season for the Bulls.

Borg is a versatile weapon who can do damage in front of goal or produce strong performances as a ball winner with impressive hand and foot skills.

Has 26 majors and 10 best player mentions in 13 games.

18. SAM WALKER

(Morphettville Park)

A highly skilled defender, Walker has been one of the Roos’ best in 2024.

A consistent player by hand and foot who takes a number of strong intercept marks each week and can stand on some of the competition’s top forwards.

Has three best player performances and two goals in 15 games.

17. CONNOR DRUM

(Westminster OS)

A dominant defender for the Dragons, Drum has been a big part of his side’s success so far in 2024.

Drum is a big game player who reads the play well and competes hard in the air and at ground level to win the footy for his side and distribute efficiently out of the backline.

Has five best player performances in 16 games.

16. LONNIE HAMPTON

A consistent star for Plympton, Hampton has had another strong year with the Bulldogs.

A clean player off of the deck who moves smoothly across the ground, hits teammates with precision by either foot or hand and does damage on the scoreboard from anywhere in and around the 50.

Has three best player nods and 21 goals in 16 games.

15. NICK LECK

(Westminster OS)

One of the competition’s top goalkickers, Leck has had a standout year with Westminster OS.

Can fill a number of roles for the Dragons but remains at his most damaging as a strong and skilled forward who leads well, kicks big goals and also influences the game with his distribution.

Has 55 majors and three best player nods in 15 games.

14. SEAN KUERSCHNER

(Walkerville)

A consistent superstar of the competition, Kuerschner has been close to his best when available for the Panthers.

The club leader is a strong onballer who has been a bull in the contest, dominating a number of sides with his ability to win the footy in congestion and deliver to teammates with accuracy.

Has five best player nods and six games in seven games and would be ranked higher with more appearances under his belt.

13. LUKE PAPARELLA

(Plympton)

An extremely damaging player for the Bulldogs up front and through the middle.

An athletic and skilled player, Paparella can dominate a game with his footy smarts, efficient ball use and accuracy in front of goal.

Has 38 majors and seven best player nods in 16 games.

12. HARRISON LIENERT

A longtime star for Westminster OS, Lienert has been dominant in 2024.

A skilled and versatile player who can fill a number of roles with his ability to find the footy, distribute with class under pressure and also hit the scoreboard.

11. STUART TAVERNER

Taverner has been a standout for the Bulldogs as they compete for a division for flag in 2024.

Taverner is a mobile and skilled ruck who is crafty in the contest and can impact the game around the ground.

10. JAK GOUDMAN-GLASSON

A star forward who impacts the game around the ground, Goudman-Glasson has been at his best this season.

Is an athletic player who takes strong marks, wins contested footy, kicks plenty of important goals and links up well with reliable disposal.

Has 59 majors and three best player performances in 16 games.

9. SCOTT GALBRAITH

One of Kilburn’s most consistent performers this year.

A ball magnet in the middle who provides strong run, damaging disposal and the ability to hit the scoreboard, Galbraith has been at his best this season.

The former club best and fairest and premiership player has 10 best player mentions and four goals in 15 games.

8. NICK HANKIN

One of the top midfielders in the division, Hankin has been dominant for Morphettville Park in 2024.

Adept on the ball and capable of winning important possessions for his side, Hankin is a skilled and reliable distributor and one of the Roos’ hardest workers.

7. JORDAN WILSON-KING

(Kenilworth)

Kenilworth’s top player this season, Wilson-King has had a fantastic 2024.

Wilson-King boasts elite skills in the contest and can damage opposition with his disposal around the ground while also impacting the game upfront with his ability to kick big goals.

Has four best player nods and 29 majors through his 15 games.

6. KIEREN NELSON

A top performer for the Bulldogs through a number of years, Nelson has had a strong 2024 season.

Versatile player who can dominate the contest with his ability to win the footy and find teammates efficiently while under pressure.

5. DANIEL FAIRBROTHER

The former Norwood SANFL League player has been an important player through the middle with his ability to find the footy, deliver to teammates efficiently and also boot goals when needed.

4. KURTIS PHILLIPS

A star ruck for Westminster OS, Phillips has been dominant in division four.

A tireless midfielder who wins important possessions in the contests for his side and also hits the scoreboard consistently, the former North Adelaide player is a reliable distributor and one of the hardest in the competition to stop.

2. DOM BARRY

Barry has been at his best for Gepps Cross again this year after a stellar 2023 and has been one of division four’s top players.

An electric and supremely skilled player who can impact the contest with clean disposal or do damage upfront with his ability to kick fantastic goals or create for teammates.

The former Melbourne and Norwood man has 36 goals and eight best player appearances in 15 games.

1. ALEX BARNS

Former North Adelaide utility Alex Barns has taken his game to another level for the Roos this year as a dominant ruck who also damages upfront.
An athletic and strong player with great all-round skills, Barns has the ability to give his midfielders first use with elite tap work, take big marks, distribute efficiently around the ground and also kick important goals as a forward.

Has 20 majors and eight best player nods in 15 games.
