A well-known southern-suburbs massage therapist who allegedly sexually assaulted up to eight of his clients over two years, has been granted bail.

Jason Paul Hagon, 51, appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrate Court from the remand centre on Friday following a home detention report.

Mr Hagon is facing a total of 16 counts including aggravated indecent assault and rape.

The report was ordered by Mr Hagon’s defence, James Caldicott, on Monday after his client was arrested over the weekend after further allegations were made.

At Monday’s hearing, the court heard the alleged offending occurred between June 19, 2019 through to November 25, 2021.

It is alleged Mr Hagon would adjust his clients’ underwear exposing their genitalia as well as massaging their breasts inside his Morphett Vale home, where he practised from.

“There are a total of 46 pages relating to the facts of charges, your honour,” Police Brevet Sergeant Diane Langton told the court.

“All the victims attend the same address, taking all their clothes off apart from their knickers.

“These victims were vulnerable given they were at his home address, they were naked and trusted the accused.”

Mr Hagon, who operates his business Hagon’s Heroes and is a hypnosis coach, offers remedial massage, personal training and life coaching at Morphett Vale.

He is temporarily banned from practising as a result of the charges.

He was first arrested in November 2021 and charged with engaging in sexual intercourse without consent, facing the Christies Beach Magistrates Court in February.

At the time he was bailed to reappear in June, but was arrested again on April 29, following further reports of sexual assault at the alleged hands of Mr Hagon.

Investigations from Southern District detectives are ongoing and police fear there are further victims.

In his application for his client’s bail, Mr Caldicott told the court the charges are disputed.

“Additional complaints have arisen by various complaints, all of which are denied,” Mr Caldicott told the court.

Magistrate Rodney Oates granted Mr Hagon home detention bail in the sum of $500.

He will appear in court again in August.
