A family living overseas has been devastated to find out their beloved pooch disappeared after a break in at their pet-sitters Morphett Vale home.
Hayley Wilson and her family are currently living in Abu Dhabi for her husband’s work so eight-year-old chihuahua Disco was living with a pet-sitter.
But last Friday, the home was broken into and Disco and one of the pet-sitter’s cats haven’t been seen since.
‘The people who broke in left the door and gate open and since then Disco has been nowhere to be seen,” Mrs Wilson said.
Mrs Wilson and friends in Adelaide have reported Disco missing to SA Police, Onkaparinga Council, the RSPCA and local vets.
They’ve also plastered flyers in the area and made posts on Lost Dogs of Adelaide, Lost Pets of SA and Gumtree.
But there’s still no sign of Disco.
“The thought of this happening to her is just horrible, it’s tearing me apart and I just want her to be found,” Mrs Wilson said.
The family are offering a $1000 reward for Disco’s safe return.
