A 19-year-old who was allegedly involved in a recent hit and run, has been remanded in custody for another week
Joshua Rossborough appeared via video link in Christies Beach Magistrate Court on Thursday following his arrest on Wednesday night.
Rossborough was charged with manslaughter, cause death by dangerous driving, fail to stop at the scene of a crash, fail to truly answer, impede investigation, make false report and fail to comply with the Emergency Management Act.
It is believed Smith was the passenger of the vehicle that took the life of Nick Darling, 20.
His best mate, Lewis Bennett, who was driving the Toyota, survived the crash with non-life threatening injuries.
Magistrate Teresa Anderson ordered a home detention report be made before Rossborough’s next appearance
No submissions or pleas were heard.
Police have also released information about the alleged driver of the vehicle, Michael Henley.
Investigations are continuing and police are asking anyone who saw the Ford or Toyota travelling on Flaxmill Road prior to the crash or anyone who may have dashcam, phone or CCTV footage to please provide their details to police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au.
