Matthew Healy pleaded guilty to possessing child exploitation material after disturbing incident in primary school toilets

A creep who was charged for two disturbing incidents in primary school toilets involving a blonde wig, bra and condoms has faced court again charged with more deviant offending.

Social media giants issued warnings over child sexual exploitation material concerns

A creep was caught with “shocking” child exploitation material after a police investigation into bizarre and sexually motivated incidents in primary school toilets, a court has heard.

Matthew Healy, 21, stole underwear from clotheslines and charity bins to feed his perverted desires, which was fuelled by methamphetamine use.

Healy was sentenced in August to unlawfully being on premises and damaging a building after he walked into Playford Primary School at night twice last year and jemmied open a door to a toilet block.

A blonde wig, Bonds bra and condom wrapper were found in the toilets the next day.

Magistrate Terence Forrest said despite the facts suggesting Healy may have been living out a sexual fantasy, he could only be sentenced on the charges before the court.

He placed Healy on an 18-month good behaviour bond, with no convictions recorded.

On Thursday, Judge Paul Muscat told the District Court Healy’s behaviour in the toilets was clearly sexual and he found it very concerning.

“He’s gone to the toilet block, he’s got female underwear, he’s masturbating,” Judge Muscat said.

“He’s placed pornography on the wall. Everything points to that offending being motivated solely by his sexual deviancy.”

The court heard Healy was detected after a DNA match to semen in a used condom found in the toilets.

That investigation led police to his Craigmore family home where they charged him with possessing child exploitation material – which he pleaded guilty to.

Judge Muscat said a psychological report showed Healy had poor insight into his offending.

“He’s stealing underwear from clotheslines and he was rifling through Goodwill bins and finding children’s underwear,” Judge Muscat said.

Judge Muscat described the child exploitation material Healy had written as shocking, with a prosecutor agreeing it was disturbing.

“It’s so bad that the police officer refused to attach what he’d written in his statement,” Judge Muscat said.

Andrew Ey, for Healy, told the court his client relapsed back into meth use due to the stresses of the court proceedings but was committed to being drug-free.

The court heard Healy’s methamphetamine use increased his sexual drive, with a psychologist submitting he suffered from pedophilic sexual orientation.

Judge Muscat adjourned Healy’s sentencing submissions until June and placed him on supervised bail, with drug testing.

“If he’s caught while on bail using methamphetamine I’m going to revoke his bail … and he’ll be remanded in custody,” he said.

Judge Muscat told Healy it was critical he continue to engage in treatment if he wanted any chance of not serving a prison sentence.
