FOURTEEN new or relocated retailers will be fully unveiled at the upgraded Golden Grove Village Shopping Centre by next month, with more set to come later this year.
A $14 million “all-new and refreshed” revamp of the centre, now called The Grove, was officially launched last Thursday, with precincts dedicated to dining, fresh food and fashion.
Stores already opened under the overhaul include Muffin Break from December and The Field Wholefoods just before Christmas.
They complement Barossa Fine Foods and D & S Quality Meats, which opened for business in the middle of 2017.
Centre manager Phil Monfries said the changes included a mix of new stores and shops being shuffled around.
“There’s been a lot of moves to create these precincts,” he said.
“It’s been ongoing for well over 12 months.
“What we’re doing is something our customers have been looking forward to.”
The spruced-up food court will boast a Subway, Zambrero, Muffin Break, Kirala Sushi Train, Sakura, Wendy’s and Soonta.
Further additions are also in the pipeline.
They include Tony and Mark’s and Home Fresh Experience Cooking in the first week of March, and Zeea by the middle of next month.
“We’ve what customers wanted in the centre,” Mr Monfries said.
“It’s a solid platform to grow the centre further.
“It’s hard to predict any customer growth, but we would expect some.”
Mr Monfries also hinted at further stores to be announced “closer to the second half of this year”.
“There will certainly be further change in our tenancies,” he said.
Other visible advances include an outdoor children’s playground and new furniture.
Centre owner Challenger says Golden Grove Village serves around 100,000 regular customers.
