The three men charged as a part of Operation Euro in Adelaide’s north will wait until the new year to enter their pleas in a major cannabis raid.

Jaicob Morley, 26 and Aston Morley, 28 appeared in the Adelaide Magistrate Court on Tuesday asking to adjourn their drug-trafficking answer charge date to January.

The court heard a “firm offer” had been made to prosecution that may resolve in charges being dropped relating to Aston Morley.

The third man charged in the case, Damien Morley, 53 was not present due to traffic delays.

Damien Morley, owner of Bloomin Hydro, is currently facing drug trafficking charges. The Advertiser is not suggesting his business is related to the charges before the court.

The three men were arrested earlier this year after members from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch attended a unit in Greenfields to conduct a planned search as part of Operation Euro.

Court documents state as a result of the search conducted, police allege a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug was located on the premises, namely 8.6 kilograms of cannabis.

The cannabis was allegedly located inside two duffel bags secreted behind some boxes in the corner of the warehouse.

Each duffel bag allegedly contained four shopping bags containing cannabis, each with an

approximate weight of half a kilogram each.

The remaining cannabis was allegedly located inside a large blue box in the racking on the southern side of the warehouse containing 11 vacuum sealed bags containing cannabis, each with an approximate weight of half a kilogram each.

Court documents further allege all three men were in control of the warehouse as they regularly attended the building, possessed keys for it and have been seen to open the warehouse to conduct transactions with customers.

According to court documents, regular payments of $2416 per month have been identified between the Morleys’ trust account and that of the owner of the warehouse, which is suspected of being rental payments, despite there being no rental or tenancy agreement for the warehouse.

At the initial bail hearing, the court heard Damien Morley, owner of Bloomin Hydro in Parafield Gardens, was taking his charges “very seriously”.

No pleas have been entered at this stage.

The matter will return to court next year.
