Two teenagers with OMCG links allegedly poured petrol over a car parked in a driveway before setting it alight, completely destroying it.

Izac Raffaele Marrone, 19, and Cooper Thomas Haines, 18, appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday after they were arrested for the alleged “targeted attack” last year.

Detectives from the Crime Gangs Task Force arrested Haines, Marrone and two other people alleged to have links to an OMCG following an investigation into a deliberately lit car fire in July at Croydon Park.

Patrols and MFS crews were called to Lamont St, Croydon Park on July 12 after reports of a Subaru sedan on fire in the driveway.

Police will allege that Haines, Marrone and two other people were captured on CCTV pouring petrol over the car while parked in the driveway and set it alight.

The Subaru, valued under $30,000, was completely destroyed in the targeted attack.

On September 3 detectives attended three northern suburb properties and arrested Haines, of Williamstown, Marrone, of Penfield Gardens and an 18-year-old from Angle Vale.

Police then attended a Munno Para West property on September 4 and arrested a 20-year-old who was refused police bail.

Haines, Marrone, and the other two people are charged with arson. They are yet to enter any pleas.

In the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Casey Isaacs, asked to have Haines’ curfew conditions removed and the charge to be moved to a pre-trial conference date.

Bede Elliott, for Marrone said they would need further time to look through the police evidence.

“We only just received the CCTV video footage and some photographic evidence,” he said.

Both Haines’ and Marrone’s charges were adjourned until June.
