Consultation is underway for a new look $4.4m reserve at Blair Athol, with soccer pitch, half court, new playground and loop path with fitness equipment.

“It’s an area that needs new life brought to it and we’re really proud of the space that it will become. It will be a terrific gathering space for people in the area.”
As part of the plans for a new open space along Dover Street, there will be an updated play space to replace the existing playground located at Rushworth Reserve, which has reached the end of its useful life.
Plans for the new playground include trampolines, an all abilities spinner, basket swing, climbing structure, regular swings and nature play area.
Also included in the plans for the reserve are a picnic area and barbecues.
There also plans to close of a portion of Anson Street to extend the usable open space with Rushworth Reserve.
Another key part of the design is a stormwater basin to collect overflow from Anson Street.
Consultation is open through April, with final designs to be developed across May and June.
