Police are investigating a suspicious fire at a popular Mount Gambier walking and playground spot on Wednesday night.

Police are investigating a suspicious fire in the Mount Gambier Railway Lands overnight.
Emergency services were called to reports of a grass fire at the Railway Lands precinct about 10:45pm on Wednesday.
Fire crews managed to quickly extinguish the blaze, which burnt about 50 meters of scrub vegetation planted in the garden by the creek.
Aside from the garden, no property was damaged during the blaze.
Police are treating the cause of the fire as suspicious and are asking anyone who may have seen suspicious vehicles, people or activity in the area around the time of the fire to share information with Crime Stoppers online or 1800 333 000.
