Harold James Climas doesn’t seek bail after being charged with historic child-sex offences
A 72-year-old South-East man has faced court for allegedly committing several child-sex offences during the late 90s through to the early 2000s.

A 72-year-old South-East man has appeared in the Mount Gambier Court facing a string of historical child-sex offences.
Police say detectives arrested Harold James Climas, but did not reveal the date or location the arrest took place.
He was initially charged with one count of procure a child to commit an indecent act, one count of unlawful sexual intercourse, one count of indecent assault, and four counts of sexual abuse of a child.
Mr Climas was then charged with one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a child under 12, four counts of maintain and unlawful sexual relationship with a child and one count of indecent assault.
On Thursday the man appeared by audio-visual link in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court from police custody and did not apply for bail.
According to court documents the alleged abuse occurred between 1999 and 2001.
Mr Climas was remanded in custody and will next front court in December.
