Nangwarry man, 71, arrested on firearms charges
A man in his 70s has been charged over the discovery of multiple firearms at his home, including two semiautomatic guns.

A 71-year-old man has been arrested after unregistered firearms were found at his home in Nangwarry in the state’s South East.
Detectives attended the residence around noon on Thursday, January 11 for a firearms security audit.
During the audit, police found four unsecured firearms, two of which were unregistered semiautomatic rifles for which the owner was not licensed.
The man was arrested on firearms charges and bailed to appear in court at a later date.
Police remind firearms owners of the legal requirement to store firearms and ammunition securely at all times in compliance with the Firearms Act.
