A 37-year-old man from Elizabeth East has been arrested after he allegedly took police on a 10km chase from Adelaide’s north to east on Saturday night.

Police activated their emergency lights in an attempt to pull the car over but when it failed to do so PolAir were called in to help.

The car was then sent east on Milne Rd before turning onto Kelly Rd and driving south before eventually making it’s way to Willow Dr at Paradise.

PolAir then informed patrols that the man allegedly left the car before running along the Linear Trail into a large paddock and then jumped over a fence into a backyard.

The man was subsequently found by police and arrested and charged with dangerous driving to escape police pursuit, use of a motor vehicle without consent and drive at extreme speed.
