Ellie Mann voted as having SA’s cutest smile in the Advertiser’s cutest baby 2021 competition

Despite only being five-months-old, this little bub has had a roller coaster journey this year, but through it all she’s kept smiling. See SA’s babies with the cutest smiles.

Despite only being five-months-old Ellie Mann has had a roller coaster journey this year.

Williamstown parents Samantha and Tony Mann still consider themselves lucky after their daughter was born with a cleft lip and palate.

“It’s always going to be nerve-racking no matter the situation and why your child goes in for surgery, but it’s important to consider yourself lucky that you’re still able to have a child,” Ms Mann said.

“We think we’re lucky that we’ll get to see two of her smiles, one before the surgery and one after.”

Ellie has been named SA’s cutest smile in our latest instalment of the SA’s cutest babies series.

“I’m sure she’ll be bringing it up all the time,” Mrs Mann laughed.

“She’ll probably be in disbelief unless we have proof for her.”

Ms Mann and partner Tony learned of Ellie’s diagnosis at her 20 week pregnancy scan and knew little about the condition.

Ellie underwent surgery at the beginning of June with procedure running smoothly and is on track to make a full recovery with the little tacker ready to show her second smile to the world.

“She has the best smile, she smiles with her eyes and her whole face lights up,” Ms Mann said.

“We think we’re lucky that we’ll get to see two of her smiles, one before the surgery and one after.”
