THE Norwood branch of the popular Adelaide Hills Seasonal Garden Cafe business is up for sale less than a year after it opened.
THE owner of a popular Adelaide Hills cafe franchise is selling her Norwood business less than a year after it opened.
Seasonal Garden Cafe’s Silvia Hart announced the news on her Facebook page attributing the desire to spend more time with her family as a reason behind her decision to sell The Parade eatery which opened last September.
The Norwood business, located four doors up from Argo, is one of four Seasonal Garden Cafe’s controlled by Ms Hart, including outlets at Stirling and two in Hahndorf.
The Norwood branch, which has 10 staff of which two are full-time, is being advertised via Raine & Horne for $177,000.
An online advertisement for the business on the Raine & Horne website says that “the vendor has elected to sell so she can focus all of her energy on her cafe of the same name in the Adelaide Hills”.
Ms Hart told The Advertiser that the sale price would cover her set-up costs and give her “one less thing to worry about”.
“I just can’t give it what it needs,” she said.
She said a prospective buyer can choose to continue trading under the Seasonal Cafe name.
She said she wasn’t intending to sell her original and biggest outlet in Hahndorf’s main street but was “always open to offers” for that business.
Ms Hart’s expansion into Norwood angered former staff Gabrille Whittaker and Hannah Stanford who had claimed she owed them wages.
Ms Hart said today that the wage claims had been settled.
