Christopher Robinson, Jana Henson and Nicki Robinson charged with Ridgehaven attempted murder

A “disguised” law student is one of three people accused of a violent home invasion and robbery, where a man’s throat was horrifically slit over a drug debt.

An aspiring lawyer was allegedly in disguise when her co-accused slit the throat of a man over a drug debt, a court has heard.

Nicki Meree Robinson, 28, applied to have her home detention conditions removed in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday, charged with the violent home invasion.

Her co-accused, Christopher Geoffrey Thornton Robinson, 41, and Jana Emily Henson, 38, are also accused of breaking in and assaulting two men.

A prosecutor opposed the removal of home detention, due to the seriousness of the charges and for the safety of the alleged victims.

The prosecutor said the identity of Ms Robinson wasn’t an issue, as both alleged victims knew of her.

The court heard Ms Robinson, who was wearing a blonde wig, and her two co-accused allegedly entered the Ridgehaven property on September 27 at 4.15am.

“They attended there over what appears to be a drug debt … the three co-accused entered and immediately started assaulting the male,” the prosecutor said.

“The accused (then said) ‘give me anything of value, car keys, phone whatever’.”

The court heard Mr Robinson then allegedly used a knife on one of the men to “slit the side of his throat,” causing extensive damage to his neck and requiring hospitalisation.

While this was happening, Ms Robinson and Ms Henson allegedly stole a mobile phone and necklace.

The court heard there was text message evidence between Mr Robinson and the alleged victims.

Police found Ms Robinson and Ms Henson at a residence together with the blonde wig, a knife and the alleged victim’s phone, the court heard.

Ms Henson, of Magill, Ms Robinson, of Paradise and Mr Robinson, of Norwood, are charged with multiple offences, including attempted murder, serious criminal trespass and theft.

Ms Robinson entered not guilty pleas to all charges earlier this month and was committed to the District Court for arraignment in August.

Heather Stokes, for Ms Robinson, said she was studying law at university and was finding it difficult to attend lectures while on home detention.

When Magistrate Simon Smart pushed for more information, Ms Stokes said she would withdraw the bail variation and file it again at a later date.

Ms Robinson’s co-accused will face court again next month.
