A high-powered sports car has been stolen from a Lexus dealership in Adelaide’s CBD and dumped after it as trashed during the theft.
Police are investigating after a Lexus LX coupe, which sells for between $193,000 and $220,000, was stolen from a dealership in CBD early on Monday morning.
Police were called to the West Terrace car dealership after reports of an alarm activation just after 1.30am.
On arrival, they found the front doors to the showroom had been entered and a Lexus sports coupe had been stolen.
The stolen vehicle had been driven through a rear fence, busting them open, to leave the premises.
A short time later the badly damaged vehicle was found abandoned at St John Ave, Renown Park, about 6km away northwest of the CBD.
Police searched the area but a suspect has not been located.
The dealership declined to comment.
